As an event planner for all types of high end events we work with many different vendors, but when it comes to hiring a DJ or MC Jeremy is our first choice. Blue Wings Events has been working with Jeremy since 2017 from weddings to corporate events and he is always a great team player who is professional but fun. Every client that we have used him for is highly impressed and thankful to have had him on the team. He immediately put me at ease with the process and was able to help me make decisions on the order of events and necessary announcements. I was nervous about hiring a DJ since it’s a key part every wedding, but Jeremy was amazing! He was able to anticipate and plan for issues I had not even thought of and showed an uncanny ability to play music that catered to the guests, making sure everyone was having fun. Working with Jeremy was by far one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. He is efficient, experienced, and great at communicating. One of the best things about Jeremy is his ability to match the energy of the guests and adjust the music seamlessly! We were also glad to have someone so comfortable on the microphone; Jeremy was easygoing but direct in getting guests to where we needed them to be. I wanted a dance party but wasn’t sure if the guests would be up for it. The way Jeremy transitioned to the dance floor was so flawless and so fun that the dance floor was full and we had family members up and dancing that I have never seen dance in my life! I would recommend Jeremy for any event!
I perform both roles and sometimes bring an assistant with me.
I require a signed Wedding Service Contract and a 50% deposit to lock in your date. The contract balance is due any time until or on your wedding day. I prefer cash or check, and I have Venmo or card processing as well.
Essentials Package includes everything you'll need to create a memorable, fun, and engaging experience for your wedding day, the three essentials: full audio and lighting support, announcements and MC work, and music management.
Everything Package increases the wow factor by adding real vinyl turntables and seamless music mixing during dance time.
Both packages include:
- Ceremony sound system with wireless lapel for the officiant
- Multiple full range speaker systems for coverage of the entire reception area
- Announcements and MC work appropriate for your wedding guests
- 20 wireless uplighting fixtures; static and 'dancing' to the music
- Music management; playing the right song at the right time

Yes and yes. Velvetone Events is licensed in Washington State as a sole proprietorship (UBI 603464955) and I legally do business under my own trade name, Jeremy Hamel DJ. I carry a $2M business liability insurance policy through R.V. Nuccio & Associates, underwritten by The American Insurance Company.

I use 100% reputable and reliable professional audio equipment capable of clean and robust sound levels beyond what most weddings could or would require. Everything down to the connecting cables and gaff tape are professional quality. My guiding principles with regard to equipment and presentation are: safety, sound, and aesthetic. Safety. The equipment, especially including speaker stand positions and cable runs, will be configured as safely as possible to avoid hazards. Sound. The sound will be evenly reinforced across the frequency spectrum and throughout all areas of the venue that need adequate sound: little to no dead zones (or dead zones by design) means sound reflections are minimized and reduces ear strain of attendees. Aesthetic. The overall presentation will look refined and professional without cartoonish gimmicks -- even the speakers are debadged to offer a crisp look.
